Weekly News Update – Week 3

Club News

The Club AGM is next Wednesday, January 24 at 17.00 in the Clubhouse. Details have been posted on the Club Noticeboards.

New Score Cards are now available in the Pro Shop

“Hi to all members: I can give you the good news that the New Card for the Yellow/Red/Blue courses is now available, there are no changes to the Ladies Red course stroke indexes. A New White Card is currently being prepared.

However would the men please note that there are a few changes to the Yellow Stroke indices, see below:
Hole 3 is now stroke index 17.
Hole 4 is now stroke index 15.

Hole 11 is now stroke index 10.
Hole 13 is now stroke index 12.
Hole 18 is now stroke index 8.

These changes take effect as from Thursday 18th January.

As golf is moving to Non Gender tees, stroke indexes are shown for which ever colour of tees you use.

For example:
Both Ladies & Men will use the same stroke indexes when playing off the Blue tees.
If the Ladies wish to play off the Yellow tees they will use the Yellow Stroke indexes.
If the Men wish to play off the Red tees they will use the Red Stroke indexes.

There will be a second new card arriving later with the White/Yellow/Red courses on.

Hope we all have a very good & enjoyable 2018″.

Course News

When playing the course over the next few months, please be sure to wear suitable footwear for the weather conditions and check that your spikes whether metal or soft are cleaned off.

WINTER RULES ARE IN PLACE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

As the clocks have now changed, please note there should be NO play before 08:00 each morning.

Temporary winter greens are GUR unless in play, remember you must take a FREE drop.

Important points to remember:

ALWAYS check the Club (PDF) diary on the Clubs website before planning your golf.

ALWAYS on arrival check for any course updates which can be found on the external “white board” or if in doubt ask the Pro Shop. Daily course updates can be due to weather or course maintenance.
